What are sacrifices?
In the spiritual sense, sacrifices are the items we offer the spiritual realm to plead our case. We offer sacrifices either to claim future blessings or to avert future dangers in situations beyond our control. Items for sacrifices are to be determined through Ifá divination. It could be a goat, sheep, rooster, snail, cat-fish, or anything as recommended according to the situation at hand.
How do we determine what should be Offered as sacrifice?
After making Ifá consultation. The Odù that comes up will not only state the client’s current situation, but the necessary sacrifices would be mentioned. The Òrìṣà to make the sacrifice to shall also be pointed out. Every single detail of the sacrifice is followed according to recommendations.
Why do we need to make sacrifices?
Sacrifices are meant to cover up and speak for us when we are in the middle of a situation out of our control. Someone who wants to marry a spouse only have a full knowledge about himself/herself he cannot fully know the intentions of the partner. Sacrifices, here would help avert any danger or ensure any blessing on this kind of journey. A person who want to do business cannot fully know the situation of the place he wishes to settle in or the mind of the consumers. These factors are not in the person’s control. The spiritual forces use the items sacrificed as a symbolic way of making exchange and accepting the person gesture for good things to happen.
How Frequent should we make sacrifices?
